I'm finally done!I wrestled with the stupid zipper, but I think it ended up ok. The only thing I'm unhappy with is the length. I posted a little while back with a question about zippers...I've since pieced the whole thing together (after overblocking it: d'oh!). I lengthened the sleeves and the body, but the body is still a little short for my tastes. I love it, though! I saw that Elann has a new Peruvian wool in an Aran weight that has a gauge of 18 stitches/4 inches on size 8. I am wondering if I could use this for Ribby? I'm on the back part, and even though I've gotten reinforcement from someone who is my same size and just did this pattern, I'm having a really hard time believing I've got the armhole shaping on the back piece directions right. K2, ssk, do whatever, k2tog, k2...but only every other row, and 2o times. And then some other stuff. So over 40 rows of armhole shaping.Just please, tell me I'm not crazy

Hello everyone, it took so long to get on this knitalong that I have finished my Ribby and moved on! Oh well... I still wanted to post and show you the construction, because it was very easy to make this sweater all in one piece to the armholes. Why have seams where you don't need them? Yes.. it can be done! I just had to share this.. I'm incredibly happy having sleeves without a seam running down them.. I basically took the pattern, and subtracted two stitches from the cast on row.. then I joined the round.. and knitted the sleeve.. Then when it came time to bind off for the sleeve cap.. I started a round, and bound off 8 stitches at the end of the round, but continued binding

Howdie..I've never blocked anything before and from what I've read, the pins rusting can be an issue.. How much of an issue is this? Would pins rust from just misting the fabric? We had an unusually quiet and lazy Sunday afternoon at our house, and I finally finished by Ribby back! I quickly got out my handy blocking board and discovered the back was too long! I ended up taking out the last several rows at the top and working the last two decrease rows next to each other rather than "every other RS row" and it came out fine. I think I was off just a tad on my row gauge

I love my sweater.... BUT the pilling looks terrible. What has worked especially well for you all that cleans up the pills? I finally finished my ribby cardie this week, and I am so happy with it! I'm extra pleased with the zip - I don't have the best relationship with my sewing machine.
