step right up!

Soooo, we have a few members now! Yay! Let's hear about the yarn you've chosen, when you plan to start, and maybe a bit about you!

I already posted a picture of my yarn, but here's a teeny knitting bio: I learned to knit a year ago. I've made two sweaters before this one-- one for my son and one for me. There are pictures of both on my blog. I am totally obsessed with knitting, well beyond what my budget allows. I look forward to being brave enough to tackle some colorwork in the near future.
Let's see... what else? Well, I live in Seattle, I'm a 34-year-old mama to two really freaking cute kids, Silas, who is nearly 6(!!) and Vivienne, who is 3. I work PT for a giant coffee company I'm sure most of you frequent, but I consider being a mom my "real" job.
Ok! Let's hear about everyone else-- post away!

I'm using the Highland Wool in Tapestry Blue. I'm trying to finish the sweater I'm currently working on before I start this one, and I have to wait for replacement needles from elann anyway.
I live in San Diego and go to California Western School of Law. I knit pretty much whenever I'm not studying. I love making socks and hats, and I'm working on my first sweater right now.

Hi everyone!

I took a picture of my yarn to post, but I can't figure out how to do that on a comment. Darn. Anyway, I have the dusty rose and the heather denim (i think that's what the blue is called). It's a really pretty combination. What an awesome price on that yarn from Elann...!!!

I'll be ready to do this right after Christmas...almost done with my other gifts. It's great to "meet" everyone, and I'm looking forward to going through this project together. A little about me...I'm 36 (darn, my fingers hit 35 before I could stop myself..) and a single mom of two teenagers. We live in Japan and have been here for about 14 years. We're moving back to the US this spring..I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

I love knitting..I have an artistic streak that I've never really found a good outlet for, so this suits me really well. I'm also a rather compulsive triathlete, and I love training. So...I keep really, really busy.

That's about it...I hope everyone has a great pre-Christmas season!

I signed up over at Jessica's so you can add me to the list. I'll start in January and will be using Highland wool in two shades of gray. I'll post about it later this week and link to you, too! Thanks for hosting.
