Spring/Summer Ribby

Now that I'm almost finished my ribby, I'd like to make one for spring/summer wear. Has anyone considered making one using cotton or other lighter yarn blend?

My 5 year old daughter also wants one. I wonder how hard it would be to downsize the pattern for a child?

Just some random thoughts...

I'm considering cotton too...I just got some nice cotton yarn that would be great for it too... I have a picture on my blog here. Do you think cotton would hold the shape as well as wool?

I think someone on this KAL used Cotton-Ease. One of my colleagues is making it out of a GGH cotton.
