Getting there

I've finished the back and fronts of my ribby!!! Here's where I am with the sleeves. I decided to put a stripe down the arm rather than doing the whole arm in a different color than the body. (the body is the brown/purple color). I'm planning on making the collar and button bands in the cream color as well. Hope it fits.... wish me good blocking luck!

Looks great! I tried to do the same thing but for the life of me I couldn't get the damn thing to work. Could you let me know how you are knitting the stripe?

It's easy to show you how to change color mid row... but it's hard to explain it.

I knit/purl across 20 stitches in the dark color then start the cream, knit for 8 stitches and then start with a second ball of the dark color for 20 stitches. On the next row (and every one after that) I knit (or purl) up to where the next color starts and then take the new yarn and cross it over the old yarn. As long as you always bring the new color over the old color you don't get holes (of course I have a couple holes already)

Please jump in if anyone else can explain this better or knows of an illustrated example somewhere.
